[quote="soudou":1eniab8q]My theory is the "emotional" thing might relate to Cocorico based on an interview with Hosei.

[/quote:1eniab8q]
Maybe someone can translate it… this was my crappy attempt.
[quote:1eniab8q]# The "after-dark childish outburst"
"It's irresponsible, it should be the young instead! [getting slapped]", although Hōsei appeals so, the fact is all the cast are not exactly "young", "But I think it's also an unlucky year for Cocorico (laughs). When the recording finished, Tanaka said something along the lines of "I feel bad about that…". But really juniors should not have to bear all of it, so I also feel sorry for the circumstances…"
"I'm afraid it's a downright sad moving story. But in fact it's "the way of life" of a senior entertainer, to bear the cross of the younger juniors. Flipping out with "Well then, you bloody do it~!!", the atmosphere got really bad…"[/quote:1eniab8q]
Rest of my noob translation on my blog: http://yamasakigifs.tumblr.com/post/709 … chono-face[/hide:1eniab8q]
I could be wrong but I think perhaps the staff wouldn’t be able to surprise him by forcing him to read the letter during the batsu, it’d likely have to be by his own request. But yeah it would be nice to see the rest of that letter.[/quote:1eniab8q]
I must admit that I only thought of the idea of Matsumoto’s letter being read because when they threw in the mention of an emotional scene in the preview, he was the only one not shown in the montage of sad faces of the group. Then again, it’s probably improper for him to be reading extremely private feelings off the screen, isn’t it?
But it was fascinating to read your article about Yamasaki and his thoughts about the yearly slap. I guess you can’t blame him for wishing Hamada got one, given he’s getting older and thus healing a bit slower from it every year. The staff probably make him do it every year too because he’s got the best ‘chemistry’ with Chono; that is, if you call improvising a way to avoid a slap chemistry
