Episode #1233 2014.11.30 - Costume Talk

This week is costume talk and they’ll be talking about:

  • their dissatisfaction with the location for this year’s No Laughing game
  • a guest who appeared and confused them during the shooting of the game
  • the punishments from the game (Hosei and Tanaka in particular have something to say)
  • a special project; apparently a TV station in America did some coverage of Gaki no Tsukai and one of their female reporters has requested something of Hosei
  • some famous Gaki punishment being delivered which places a ‘huge climax’ in the studio. This one I’m not as sure about translation-wise…

Thanks !

That’s too bad nobody ever subs Costume Talks, in any episode or batsu, my favorite parts are always when they’re just sitting together and fool around…

Oh man this sounds spoilerific!

[quote="Vatican":1mc4a62i]- the punishments from the game (Hosei and Tanaka in particular have something to say)[/quote:1mc4a62i]

I don’t wanna get it spoiled but hearing that alone makes me look forward even more to the batsu.

Huh, that is exciting. If someone can post in the thread after the episode airs at what point he talks about it I’d appreciate it, I might skip the rest due to batsu spoilers. I wish it was a British TV station who had requested him, then maybe there’d be a 50% chance of him visiting the UK and a 1% chance of me seeing him  Housei seems to know the most English so I wonder if that’s why he was picked. It also seems like he’s done some filming with an American crew before or something like that as I found this picture once.

Yeah, the talk is somewhat spoilerific, but they were careful by being vague.

The American tv show which is going to feature GnT is apparently "The greatest shows on earth"

I think this is the show [b:2m2z67ex]solari[/b:2m2z67ex] mentioned, it had an episode on a korean tv show for stream:

[url:2m2z67ex]http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-greatest-shows-on-earth[/url:2m2z67ex]

Huh, but Channel 4 is British not American. :o
I suppose they do all the filming in their native country though so doubt Housei will be coming to Britain. |(
Still I’ll have to check it out when it comes on TV here or at least on their catchup service 4oD.

Guest: Karla Cavalli (The Greatest Shows on Earth)
着ぐるみトーク

Well, the show is from the UK, not from the U.S. as mentioned.

Thanks Ernie!

I skipped to just the bit where the American woman shows up. I guess there must be an American show by the same name of that Channel 4 show then since that was a totally different host to the British one. It was pretty cool to see an English person telling the Gaki guys in person the popularity of some of their stuff on Youtube. Seems they were very surprised at what particular things had become popular.

Huh when she said New Years I thought it was gonna be his slapped face look from the New Years Specials. But she actually meant the New Years parties. That thing he does makes me cringe to be honest so I kinda wish she’d chosen something else. I also kind of hoped he was gonna say more in English than just "Really" :P

She seemed pretty nervous, I can imagine it being very flustering to have all the Gaki guys talking at once in a language you don’t understand. The translator had her job cut out for her. :o

Her IMDb page doesn’t have the show mentioned, I’m so confused now.

They were pretty surprised when they heard they are famous on youtube in America! :D
This is by far my favourite costume talk :inlove:

[url:26uaeb78]http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1739615/[/url:26uaeb78][/quote:26uaeb78] it might be an unpopular show, though she is pretty involved in show biz.

At 5:30, the narrator just says the show airs [b:3nts53lg]next year[/b:3nts53lg]. Don’t know exactly when, but the first episode features Gaki.

Must be still in production, American folks should look out for it and record it when it comes on. :)

Hmm… It should have at least something like a teaser website on whatever channel will air it.

Pretty sure the show will be recorded and uploaded on the Internet, like most american TV shows.

its a UK show…

since this is a talk I might watch the part where the British presenter is in and skip the rest

She’s actually not British surprisingly, though supposedly born in Britain I guess she quickly moved to the US.
The presenter for the British show is Daisy Donovan. I suppose it’s an American rendition of the same concept currently in production.

[quote:2ayx6lv9]Karla was born in Southampton, England to a British mother and an Italian father. She was raised in Queens and Long Island, New York. Karlita, as her closest friends and family call her is a graduate of the prestigious Fordham University. She considers herself a New Yorker through and through but has a lot of love for the West Coast. Ms. Cavalli has performed all over the world as she toured with International sensation, Amber as a backup dancer. She was an NBA Dancer for the NJ Nets as well as their Live in-house entertainment Host and holds the title of Miss New York USA 2002.[/quote:2ayx6lv9]

That was a fun episode that contains obviously some minor spoilers, and Hosei’s bit was amazing hahaha.
Does anybody here have a link to the original video they showed a little before his act? I don’t think I’ve ever seen this before ! :open_mouth:

it looks like they are reviving the show with a new host which is the woman that appeared on gaki, and there is no american version I searched and found nothing.

Yeah that’s also possible, I was thinking that too. Though also possible it’s an American rendition in the making, might explain the lack of results, guess we’ll find out next year!
