side note, you are using there rather than their
Joke aside, it is suprising and very touching to see them helping in this situation

Yeah…I know that :D I’m just too lazy to use both "their or there" ^^, so I just keep using "there"…it’s a habit of mine ^^ haha

Yakuza is known for their love for the their country. I respect them for. Even though they’re yakuzas, but they are still care about their own country’s crisis, now that is what i call responsible & caring. This is not the first time they’re helping out. I believe the did the same thing before, in fact even faster than the government themselves. That is, if i’m not mistaken.

This is not new, but don’t kid yourself, the crime families make money with unlawful means. Using that money for the relief effort is entirely to protect their interest and even maybe to raise their image. It’s not that they also have a human side (of course they do), it’s that they’re not running with the money. Instead they spend a bit to keep their foundations.

iwan00spect you’re right that it happened before, the articles does mention it.

[quote:xco65cf6]To those not familiar with the yakuza, it may come as a shock to hear of their philanthropy, but this is not the first time that they have displayed a humanitarian impulse. In 1995, after the Kobe earthquake, the Yamaguchi-gumi was one of the most responsive forces on the ground, quickly getting supplies to the affected areas and distributing them to the local people. Admittedly, much of those supplies were paid with by money from years of shaking down the people in the area, and they were certainly not unaware of the public relations factor—but no one can deny that they were helpful when people needed aid—as they are this time as well.[/quote:xco65cf6]

I’m surprised we have news like that, usually they don’t want to have credits for those actions, mostly because folks are not dumb, they know where the money comes from, even for a relief effort, it can be refused flat out if you know where if comes from.

Benjamin Fulford mentiones that the Yakuza are part of the "good" side:

There is always more going on than you might think.

I wonder who these guys are and what they are talking about:

Yakuza’s place is in jail, no honor for them. They’re trying to look good but they’re doing that for their interest, because as soon as the life goes on as it was, they’ll be again able to do their nasty job. How many lives and families broken because of the mafia?

When I lived in Japan, the local town’s fireworks festival was paid for by a division of the Yama-gumi.

All I can say is those bastards really don’t like it when you sleep with one of their girlfriends.

This Fulford guy, in his limited Japanese ability, is explaining that Americans are a bunch of terrorists and that the yakuza and Japanese anti-government entities are right because they are attempting to shake off the influence of American hegemony through grassroots rebellion, etc. He’s basically full of the same shit that most of the far-right Japanese groups are full of, and he’s just a useful idiot for these yakuza fools to exploit. That’s the funny thing about some of the left wingers that you see in Japan - they see the yakuza and far-right’s anti-government stance as refreshing and interesting, but aren’t willing to consider that these yakuza are simply CRIMINALS.

Regardless of what anyone romanticizes the yakuza to be: 1. They extort money from local businesses in a protection racket. 2. They issue false promises to Philippino girls and then take their passports away and force them into hostessing and prostitution. 3. They loan shark and beat or kill those that default on loans. 4. They run drugs and guns. 5. They really hate foreigners, unless they can use them. Nothing like a pissed off 6’3" white guy to put the fear of god into a yakuza member. 6. They run legal prostitution, and are not afraid to beat girls who "don’t work." 7. They create "sign and f***" porn movies, where girls unknowingly sign off to do porn and then are raped before cameras.

I’ve known a lot of yakuza, and they think they’re pretty great because the cops dont bug them unless they kill someone, but they will always be scum.

How did you meet and know yakuza members? Wasn’t that dangerous to you? They were some kind of old friends?

We want details :D

All mafias are crap. But atleast they dont mess whit u unless u f whit them.

yeah without saying any names…the whole "they have a human side" and "respect to the yakuza" and "love to their country"… is pretty whack and ridiculous… is like me selling drugs, killing people, raping girls, prostituting them, i mentioned killing people right? then a tornado comes and destroys my neighborhood and i lend a hand in rebuilding it… so im worthy of adjectives like amazing, respectful, and loving? riiiiiiiiiiiiight…

some of you need help, and not from the yakuzas… but mental help. :P

So much like US foreign policy. :P
