Woah, you’re a star! Thank you >.<
Hopefully I’ll figure it all out by next Monday’s show (which I guess will be really late Sunday for me). It’s nice to know you’re looking out for me too though :)
By the way every Monday not long after the Yomiuri thing he’s also on the other channel, Osaka TV, via a talk show called "Nanishiyo!?" 11:59 ~ 13:00 Japan time.

http://www.tv-osaka.co.jp/nanishiyo/articles/cast.html

If you ever wanna know what each of the Gaki cast members are gonna be on each week just change the search name on the links below from "月亭方正" (Tsukitei Hosei) to whatever cast member you want (using the little search box top left):
Kanto Region: http://tv.yahoo.co.jp/search/?q=%E6%9C% … &oa=1&a=23
Kansai Region: http://tv.yahoo.co.jp/search/?q=%E6%9C% … &oa=1&a=40

I managed to record Hosei on Uramayo (cultural quiz show) last night with VLC which is great. The only issues I had was 2 or 3 times the audio skipped for a millisecond (out of a 1 hour program, not bad, maybe it’s my computer). There was also a very slight audio sync problem but I could adjust that on playback.

Here are the steps to watch and record programs in VLC:

[list:1ejdbaiy]
[:1ejdbaiy] As above open Niji TV and select a channel/login. Mute the sound in Niji.[/:m:1ejdbaiy]
[:1ejdbaiy] Open VLC and select File > Open Network Stream.[/:m:1ejdbaiy]
[:1ejdbaiy] Paste this: http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.mpeg[/:m:1ejdbaiy]
[:1ejdbaiy] You can adjust the aspect ratio in Video > Aspect Ratio to 16:9.
If there’s any audio sync issue you can adjust it by pressing J or K on the keyboard (-100ms seemed OK for me).
Note: changes won’t be recorded unfortunately, it’s just for while watching[/
:m:1ejdbaiy]
[:1ejdbaiy] Go to View > Enable Advanced Controls. More buttons alongside Play/Pause etc. will show.[/:m:1ejdbaiy]
[:1ejdbaiy] Click the red circle "Record" button once to start recording.[/:m:1ejdbaiy]
[:1ejdbaiy] Press the Record button again to stop recording.[/:m:1ejdbaiy]
[:1ejdbaiy] By default it’ll save to your My Videos folder. If you want to change this go to Tools > Preferences > Input / Codecs and change the "Record directory or filename" setting.[/:m:1ejdbaiy][/list:u:1ejdbaiy]

The filesize for a 1 hour recording was 327mb :)

It’s possible to adjust the audio sync permanently in AviDemux using it’s Shift audio option ( http://www.hecticgeek.com/2013/02/fix-a … -avidemux/ ), but somehow it seemed almost impossible to get it right compared to VLC… -100 ms didn’t seem as much of a match and I’ve been trying everything between +200 ms ~ -200 ms. Maybe it’s me being OCD or maybe it’s a difference in the software but gosh it’s annoying xD

Guess I’ll give Bandicam a go too. But I notice VLC has some guides as to how you can schedule recordings which seems handy. So I wonder if I can fix the audio sync thing…

Thank for the tutorial!

Hamada is on TV, on the last channel, after Jsport!

Any way to watch MBS?
Hamada is on TV, on the last channel, after Jsport![/quote:2qujand5]

Cool. That’s Kansai TV (same channel Hosei was on earlier for Uramayo).
Looking at his Kansai region schedule: http://tv.yahoo.co.jp/search/?q=%E6%B5% … Submit.y=0
Maybe it’s this program:
土曜プレミアム・ジャンクSPORTS

Could you upload the video, please? I’m curious on how the video looks recorded from VLC.
Could you upload the video, please? I’m curious on how the video looks recorded from VLC.[/quote:3l7v4349]

Here you go, the raw recording without ads removed etc.:

Let me know what you think (though again my computer is pretty old… so dunno if that affected anything) and if anyone fixes the slight audio sync thing let me know how you did it! :) In the meantime, whilst playing the video in VLC, just hit the keyboard shortcut J or K a few times until it looks like it syncs.

P.S. Hosei Highlights
00:01:50 - In followup to the cute intro of another guest he’s asked to do something cute too. :)
00:17:40 - Pride before the fall with a bit of quiz rivalry.

I started to make myself a shedule. I did not finished coz it’s hard to understand the japanese yahoo site.
I adapted the broadcast time to my time zone (GMT+1), the japanese time (GMT+9) is at its left. The days are in french from Monday (lundi) to sunday (dimanche).

Woah, that’s awesome, nice work! I like it.
Is there anything in particular you’d like help with for the Japanese Yahoo Site? I don’t understand it very well either but I’ve gotten used to certain things. There’s also http://tv.so-net.ne.jp/schedulesBySearch.action but either it doesn’t show Kansai-based listings or I just fail at using it

Here’s some notes on the interface (click image for full-size):

Endo’s also listed on some news thing on Asahi テレビ朝日 for the Kansai region, but sometimes that may only mean they’re mentioned in the news. Also listed on lots of JSports 2 and 3 stuff but I think Niji only has JSports 1.

It looks good! I recorded a 35 second video on a 2008 slow ass PC ( I broke my newer PC yesterday  ) and it made a very nice video!

I want to know which video converter software is good so I can edit the recorded video.
The audio synched well for me, maybe it’s your PC

If you just want to cut things out or separate stuff, then any software that doesn’t require re-encoding is good since then it’ll be fast and lossless. I’ve been using MacheteSoft but there’s probably a bunch of others that do the same thing.

[quote:3r3sz1qe]The audio synched well for me, maybe it’s your PC[/quote:3r3sz1qe]
Ah, good to hear it turned out OK. Yeah it might be my PC adding a bit of lag when feeding the stream through the software.
Out of interest, do you notice the slight (100~200 milliseconds) audio sync issue on my file?

I just registered at N+ Store but didnt recieve an email.

Is it normal that it takes that long?
Is it normal that it takes that long?[/quote:348hpzzz]

Yeah took quite awhile for me at least.

K thank you.

Hope its here tomorrow.^^

Thank you for the Guide! Finally stream program for Japanese TV!

I didn’t noticed it at all.
I didn’t noticed it at all.[/quote:1ssep5nn]

Ah I see, it is kinda minimal so perhaps it’s just me being OCD.
Thank you for the feedback.

I was finally able to catch Hosei on B-Tops and Nanishiyo last night, woo. 8) Hosei was messing with the face of a co-host whilst he was trying to read cue cards for the commercial break

Too bad my other pc broke… Well, I will give it to a technician if he can repair it.

How was that show? :)
How was that show? :)[/quote:1ck5xzvb]

Good enough for me to make a new avatar from  That "I’m so innocent" look whilst teasing his co-host ->

[hide:1ck5xzvb][b:1ck5xzvb]B-Tops[/b:1ck5xzvb] - This is basically a products / shopping show. Hosei seems to mostly be the host for the in-studio segments (talks between videos, demonstrating a product, talking to guests). There was a lot of product videos / on-location stuff so not as much Hosei-ness as I'd like but maybe other episodes are different. On the plus side watching him demonstrate products will be interesting to see depending on what it is xD And the "VTR Gettchu!" is cute.

Not Hosei-related but dang that head massager product creeped me out  Looked like a little robotic animal running on your head…
For the on-location segment I think they were in Milan to see a bag designer, they obviously edited it to look like they all had a smooth conversation rather than lots of pausing whilst translators mediated between them, funny watching the guy trying to look like he knows what they're saying.

[b:1ck5xzvb]Nanishiyo [/b:1ck5xzvb]- A topical talk show, very casual (even the audience looks like they're sitting in a cafe!). Each day of the week has different co-hosts alongside the main hosts, Hosei has the Monday slot. One of the main hosts is from the female comedy duo Yasutomo, I saw her and Hosei do some on-stage comedy talk together before and they seem a good match, both exuberantly silly  It was fun watching them make each other laugh here. Highlights for me were the aforementioned random face massage and the hats talk. On Gaki it's typically casual wear but on other shows he likes wearing different coloured suits with a tie. I notice he's been wearing bowties though recently. He brought in a newsboy cap he likes to wear but they got him to put on a little hat with a bow on it, that plus his bowtie looked a funny match.[/hide:1ck5xzvb]

I derped and missed the first minute of B-Tops when recording but here’s the files:
