This was yet another wonderful episode.
One question: after his failure, Matsumoto says "もっかいやらせろ やあー！！” Am I correct in interpreting this as a corruption of "もう一回やりましょう！?? Like "Well do it one more time!" "I want to do it over!"
Any opinions on this?

Well the thing with veoh is, the 5 minute limit. And the thing with megavideo is that the ebedding isn’t working and the painfully long time it takes for megavideo to start converting the video.

urm there is no such thing as 5 minute as long you have the account to view it and there is a section (i believed) where they teach you how to bypass that
This is extremely interesting to me. I redownloaded the larger file and this time I can confirm your result. Tested it with VMR9 renderless and EVR (Vista) and EVR Custom Preset as renderer and every time the 720p looked better (more details).
However my screenshots from above still stand, where the youku (smaller file/res) versions looks dramatically better. You need to know, that I actually did this for 2 scenes/frames back then and got the same results. I only uploaded one of them though.
Could it really be that I randomly just picked out those 2 frames in an 24 minute long video, that happen to look (for unknown reasons) much better in the lq version than in the hq version? What are the odds?
Compared the frame from my above screenshots again and the same: the Youku one being absolutely superior (in that single frame). How is that even possible? I don’t know.
The scene is at the very beginning of 8:52, directly at a scene switch. Would be nice if you could find and compare that frame too (VMR or EVR doesn’t matter), just to confirm I’m not crazy
Sorry for the wrong accusation. Seems like two carefully taken and examined comparison screenshots aren’t enough to make a safe conclusion.
That newer 720p version of yours is indeed better (for probably 99% of the frames ).
