This week’s episode will be the unveiling of the full music video from Hamada Bamyu Bamyu’s debut single. Also features a behind the scenes documentary of Hamada as he prepared for his ‘Best Artist 2015’ appearance a few weeks ago.
At the making-of part, Hamada looked really happy that Matsumoto had come to participate in the MV
And I enjoyed Cocorico’s and Hosei’s reactions to Matsumoto’s appearance in the MV
I really love how this came together. The way it started out as a goof turning Hamada into Gaki’s Idol, which I thought was really funny. But that turns out to be so successful that they are able to collaborate with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s actual composer and producer to create a more polished song and PV. There’s a couple episodes where we get a taste of things. Then with the PV release we see how other performers are taken in with Hamada Bamyu Bamyu and even the woman he’s parodying turns up and she gets involved too! Then, the cherry on this wonderful Sunday, Matsumoto’s surprise entrance dressed up as a unicorn playing the guitar while sitting on the moon. That was awesome!
Now the only problem I have with all of this is when I try to share the PV video on Facebook for the friends who know Gaki and I have to either try to explain everything (Manzai, Downtown, Gaki, Kyary, Japanese Idols, etc.) or explain nothing and leave my family members wondering some odd things about this relative of theirs.
[quote="Senkun":26cm8j8t]When Matsumoto appeared, i literary was hoping, that yamazaki, tanaka and endou will be inside of the costume.[/quote:26cm8j8t]
Ah that would have been a nice touch! And very fitting since he whacks them all with the fan. What a missed opportunity.
This whole thing is rather forced, espescially with that pseudo producer( My armes are crossed, so i am a genius).
Hopefully theycome up with better projects that are actually funny
Everyone has different kind of humor. I can get that point of yours.
This project is just a parody and in my opinion a good one with much work they put in. Yasutaka Nakata a pseudo producer? He is one of the most talented music producers and not only in Japan. He’s not there to show off how great he is. He is. It’s just for fun to him and also of course because his management told him to do so. His body language seems to be awkward sometimes because he is a very introverted guy. ^^
