Gaki for apple devices - please read

Here is what I plan to do…

  • I plan to collect all batsu games [which I have already done]
  • I plan to collect all subtitle files for each batsu [I will give credit to everybody;I have about half of the subtitles at the moment]
  • overlay the subtitles onto each batsu. [will not change dimensions or lower quality of each batsu]
  • encode it with handbrake [handbrake encodes video files into a .m4v that is universal, so you don’t have to make multiple versions of the same video. It will be compatible with the iPod touch, iPhone, apple tv, iPad, and iPod nano 4th and 5th gen. I’m unsure about iPod classic since I think it takes like an xvid mp4 or something like that.]
  • make each .m4v batsu available for download at http://www.gaki-no-tsukai.com

What do you guys think? Would you download it if it was available (converting to m4v does make the file size somewhat smaller.)

Questions?
[EDIT] one thing I do need. What is some good software for overlaying subtitles on videos?
Some batsus like the hotel and hospital will be in two parts. Thoughts?

GO FOR IT

I’d download it.

Thanks for your support. I could get this done pretty quickly if I knew which software to overlay subtitles on videos. Do you know of any?

I honestly don’t know. VobSub? You might want to ask the Subbers group for this one…

VobSub will do the job. There are plenty of tutorials on the net.

Nice project, hope the videos will work on my Zen X-Fi 2 ^^

Yes I heard of vodsub somewhere but was unsure if itd work, I’ll begin probably after thanksgiving break.

And kanzaki, if the videos don’t work on your zune I can make you custom videos. Only to thank you for supplying the forum with batsu games. I can’t make custom videos for everybody, sorry

K thanks guys

you can modifie and encode your subs in a sofware called : Subtitle Edit I used on anime it works

here for more information of what it can do: http://www.nikse.dk/se/
download: http://code.google.com/p/subtitleedit/downloads/list

you should add Psp to your list XD,

but most Iphone/Itouch mp4 compatible videos work on psp…

Ill add it to the list if it works on the psp, and thanks for your suggestion.

I will compare features and capabilities and then decide which is best.

Thanks but it’s not a Zune, It’s a CREATIVE Zen X-Fi 2 ^_^
I can provide you with the exact resolution I need when you’ll be about to make the stuff :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha I’m sorry. That is a pretty badass [EDIT] CREATIVE Zen X-Fi 2

Also I just make the frame 720 x 400 when encoding videos for my iPhone 4 and the resolution turns out pretty good. But you can go head and tell me now.
