yea I found an interview of hamada talking about him behind the scenes and matsumoto and downtown as a whole.

This aired in 1998/11/19 … hamada was 35 at the time, and shortly after gottsu ee kanji stopped airing. he mentions matsumoto’s involvement with gottsu ee kanji’s sudden ending.
