what’s this show about?
Basically a hide and seek or a tag game. There are usually 15 to 20 players(actors, actresses, comedians, athletes, etc).
The players have to run/hide from the Hunters for 1 to 2 hours while completing missions. If they manage to not get caught, they get prize money(there is also an option of giving up and getting the prize money at that point of time)
There is a new episode of Tousouchuu every season or so. Some have storylines intersecting with the game.
Part of the fictional background for Tousouchuu is that the games are run in the future by Game Masters from a company on the moon called ‘Chronos’,and the Hunters are androids created by Chronos.
There is also a sister game show called Sentouchuu battle for money, where players target each other in free-for-all dodgeball.
So this show is like the one that was hosed by Cocorico around 2007 - 2009? Just with other people than with other famous celebrities?

Do you mean the Cocorico Million Kazoku? If so, I can tell these two shows are quite different. In Cocorico Million Kazoku, the participants try to hide themselves in an indoor area and they are not able to move around, and once they’re found by the hosts, game’s over.
In Run for Money, participants can move freely in an open area but they have to avoid being spotted by the hunters. Once spotted, the hunters will chase after them and catch them. The participants still have the chance to survive as long as they manage to run away from the hunters, but it’s really difficult as the hunters run ridiculously fast and they don’t seem to sweat or gasp at all.
And it somehow shows the dark side of humanity as sometimes the participants thought of dirty tricks to disturb other participants or try to hide in overlooked areas so that they can survive the whole game without taking risks. But sometimes there are also heros who tried to save other participants or voluntarily complete difficult tasks for the well being of others.
Endo participated in this show twice, and I remember Yamasaki had also participated in this show but I’ve only watched one episode which has Endo and Mizuki Ichiro in it. Mizuki san in there was sooooo cool ZEEEEET!
this sounds very familiar… was the cocorrico thing in a shopping mall? or am I confusing this with Running Man

Yes, one episode of Cocorico Million Kazoku took place in a shopping mall, but that was the SP episode. In normal episodes, they played in the houses of some random Japanese families. I’ve never seen those normal episodes though.
Oh! Different concepts. Then this show sounds interesting to watch!
As for Cocorico Million Kazoku there aren’t any episodes online apart the Mall SP, which is even subbed.
Nevermind, typing ココリコミリオン家族 on Google gives results to other episodes hosted in other sites.
Yamazaki has been it a number of times along with Endo. Also Chiaki pops up a bit. Here is one of the first with Yamazaki! Awesome show! Here’s the very first one they did in the early morning hours of Shibuya.
