This looks interesting! I’ve not heard of it before - from what I understand though (and from a quick Google search) there is more to it than just trying to stay away from the hunters, could anybody be kind enough to explain the rules for this show?

The main rule is simple. They have to avoided capture before the time limited is up.
But they will have tasks they will need to do in that time. The tasks change from game to game. But the basic one is to stop more Hunters beaning release. They start with 3 Hunters most of the time at the start. Then theirs 3 more locked in boxes which the players have to lock down before a time limit runs out. Some times there could be a mass of then locked or on there way to the gaming area which they will have to stop.
Also there are tasks to get to the next ‘stage’ of the game. Or to stop Other ways for the Hunters to find them Like Ninjas, Oni, Alarms on there shoulders, etc etc.
There also times were the money counter is frosting or the rate it goes up can change. Then they would need to do a task to fix that.
Some times those locked away have a chance of rejoin the game, If tasks are complete the one who does it can release one of the captured players from the cell.
And at anytime the player can retire from the game and will collect the money that was on the counter at that time. Most of the time its by phone but any set in the past they will have to write something down first.
The Rules change from game to game.

I think this show was adapted for american television. There was a show on sci-fi that was called chase or something with the same premise

This thread is pretty old-- but I only just discovered this show last week and am enjoying it very much.
The most recent episode (a youku rip is available [url=http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_102869.htm:lrcu4alu]here[/url:lrcu4alu]) was aired December 20th, and featured Endou, who was nice to see, but didn’t really do much. A little disappointing, but still worth it.
I’ve seen both episodes with Yamaskai, and it was also nice to see him outside of GnT, especially when he switched to "action hero" mode-- but he didn’t really shine in either.
The next episode will air January 8th, and it will feature two people who might be of interest to readers of the Downtown fan page: Reina Triendl, the beautiful Austrian model that’s been featured on several episodes of Lincoln, and the less beautiful, but funnier Yamada Hanako, the weird drunken girl from the Highschool and Police batsu games, among others.

Yeah~ I like this show except I went a bit crazy and watched too many in a too short a period.
I like the ones with a particular theme like the Edo period and Ninja village and stuff. Although the story/movie/acting are really cheesy.

It’s a FujiTV show (not NTV, like GnT) but for some inexplicable reason, there’s a certain number of guest on this episode that were also in the Airport batsu. These include:

武田修宏: Takeda Nobuhiro (Japanese Soccer star and tv announcer, asked to ad-lib a speech after the outside Beyonce/Lada Gaga impersonations)

1 Its a Free For All Dodge ball tag match.
2 Each Player starts with 300,000 YEN each
3 When a player is hit they are out and the money they had goes to the victor.
4 They can use some of the money to buy weapons or a Ninja to help them win more money from other players.
