Brings back so many memories.

Makes we wanna watch it for my 5th time:P
Although I think I’m gonna wait. My 4th time was only like 2 months ago.

I wanna see that dorama, but first I just have to watch Shinzanmono, cause you know it can only be good when it’s with Abe Hiroshi in the lead role. I haven’t seen a bad dorama with him yet:)

[quote:13x9q0jn]
nope, sorry. can’t remember :)
Was it one of the kids who said that?[/quote:13x9q0jn]

yes, one of the little kids who was supposed to be adopted, but he doesn’t want the couple calling him “pitiful”, so he hid inside Jiro’s closet, until he was persuaded by Jiro to tell them what he really feels inside. he was saying boku wa kawaisou janai about 3 or 4 times so kinda stuck to my mind. anyways… :clown:

[quote:13x9q0jn]I think the last one is called “Tumbling”, based on a university gymnastics team. Did you heard something about it?[/quote:13x9q0jn]

@atreyu_tiger: I was able to watch it. The story caught my attention, i was intrigued on how bad/cool guys who loves to fight end up being in a gymnastics club wearing gymnastics suit/tights or whatever you call it. Every episode is about strength of friendships which is good. There were lots of funny moments too.

I bought Code Blue yesterday, seems nice and Erika Toda & Aragaki Yui are so cute…

[img:1yvsug52]http://img168.imageshack.us/i/codeblue2dg5.png[/img:1yvsug52]

Yesterday I finished The Prince of Tennis (2nd season). I dare say the first one was way more epic and well made. The special appearance of Michael Chang was one of the very few surprises. Many characters were missed during the last episodes, in that very crucial moment, so the ending is not as good as I wanted to be.

Half an hour ago, I finished ‘Tumbling’. It was great. At first I selected it because it has two of Atashinchi no danshi stars: Yûsuke Yamamoto and Koji Seto. It was a big surprise to see Yûsuke in a whole different role than the one from Atashinchi… from a effeminate model to a high school punk. However, many times his screams are just unbearable, and one may like to see other members of the team besides the punks. Also the comic role of the suitor of Yusuke’s mom is absolutely ridiculous. Nevertheless, great dorama overall. Good supporting actors and enjoyable story.

just wanted to share this…

Finally decided to watch Room of King because first, it is listed as comedy, and second, after reading the plot teaser, i found the storyline interesting… First episode, I am happy to see that Hiro Mizushima is one of the main characters. Second episode, I am surprised to see… ITAO ITSUJI!! and yes, he is also one of the main characters in the story! I just finished the first 2 episodes, but I will add more of my thoughts about this dorama after I finish the whole series. Although from where I am watching it (dramacrazy.net) the last 2 episodes don’t have english subtitles yet.

I’m watching [b:28ddv87v]Samurai High School[/b:28ddv87v] and [b:28ddv87v]Buzzer Beat[/b:28ddv87v]. It’s funny to see some actors in other roles. I was surprised when I saw the stoopid Ren Yoyogi, the arrogant basketball player from Buzzer Beat as a policeman in SHS.

Also when I was watching Kamui Gaiden, I say: "Hey, Death Note L versus Buzzer Beat coach". Now I recognize quite a few faces from japanese commercials or special guests at some show… I remember I have seen them elsewhere… but I got no clue who they are  .

The one I finished was the Taiwanese "I Want to Be a Hard Parsimmon". Yes, the title is extremely weird. It’s a comedy with melodramatic details. The smart kid who was constantly bullied at school wants to get stronger. Unfortunately a school gang is also part of his new class… but then comes a beautiful girl, so he decides to stay and fight for her love. Later on you can see the gang is not as fierce as it seems, and even the gang leader has a heart. They will battle for the lady. He will be trained by the leader’s former girlfriend, and so on during 22 episodes.
Also the comic role of the suitor of Yusuke’s mom is absolutely ridiculous.[/quote:1rxsh9se]
I totally agree! he reminds me of Jimmy Onishi :P

For those who would like to see some of the actors who appeared in the spy batsu game, i would recommend "Kiina". Haruse Kiina is a detective who has exceptional memory (she can read a whole book in minutes just by scanning and flipping the pages) and keen observation, and uses these skills to solve strange cases/mysteries. Tsukaji Muga (the dancing onee-san in the bus) and Sawamura Ikki (Ma-chan’s sub player in the tag game) are in the main cast. All time favorite:
1 liter of tears.

No other Japanese drama serie ever touched me this much.
Just unbelievablely nice!

_____ I love jdramas! I have about an hour break at school and some time between my classes to watch so I can kill off two episodes, sometimes three at school

My favourite ones:
JIN- I especially love this drama. I think it’s whole plot line was pretty unique and the filming was lovely too, along with the story. I’m soo happy that it got a second season too
BOSS
Tiger and Dragon
Home Drama
Mother

look at Tegoshi in My boss my hero they were all so good
iknow i am a NEWS fan :D

Whoever never watched "Life" can’t talk about Jdrama.

just finish watched "koinu no waltz" lol (curious bout this series just bcoz of nacchi :D)
ermm… strange story, epic ending, lack of details, etc, etc

5/10 (5 is for nacchi and the dog :inlove: )

I’m not sure if you will be interested, there will be a remake of Hana Kimi (Hanakari o Kimitachi e) this summer 2011. Atsuko Maeda (Q10, Majisuka Gakuen)of AKB48 will play the role of Mizuki Ashiya, formerly played by THE Horikita Maki (lol, i’m a big fan of Maki). If you are not familiar with Hana Kimi, see the gif on the right ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

Also, there will be a live action adaptation of the manga/anime Ouran High School Host Club. Yamamoto Yusuke and Daito Shunsuke (both from Hana Kimi and Tumbling) will play Suou Tamaki and Ootori Kyoya respectively. I am hoping this adaptation will turn out okay. the live action adaptation of Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge turned out fine so I will be looking forward to this as well.

Both of the dorama’s setting involves 1 girl pretending to be a guy, so this should be interesting.

What I’m going to list are adaptation of mangas to jdrama.
[b:2ir7p7z3]Holyland[/b:2ir7p7z3] seems good. Well, from what I’ve read on the manga. I don’t want to spoil it by watching the drama already. (some 60+ more chapters to be translated)
[b:2ir7p7z3]Bloody Monday[/b:2ir7p7z3] is pretty good too.
And lastly [b:2ir7p7z3]Rokkies[/b:2ir7p7z3] love the manga, love the drama. (though the manga isn’t finished yet[translations]. manga was taking too long… sigh)
I’m pretty sure that I’ve missed a couple more… Oh, well.

Edit: AH! How could I forget about that!? [b:2ir7p7z3]GTO[/b:2ir7p7z3]! Ugh, it’s been so long since I’ve watched it. Well, there goes my week. Oh, [b:2ir7p7z3]Hito ni Yasashiku[/b:2ir7p7z3] is good as well. 3PEACE!

Just finished 2003 [b:35ib9q5r][i:35ib9q5r]Stand Up!![/i:35ib9q5r][/b:35ib9q5r]

The main idea and the plot is quite dull. Four high school friends who want to lose their virginity ASAP. It would be another ordinary comedy… but it stars Nino (Kazunari Ninomiya) from Arashi and Yamapi (Tomohisa Yamashita) from News. And now I find out that the other 2 guys have been in [b:35ib9q5r][i:35ib9q5r]Gokusen[/i:35ib9q5r][/b:35ib9q5r], that might be the very next dorama in my checklist.

I started this drama a couple of years ago, but it didn’t catch me as much as GTO did, until I discovered it the other day.

BTW,[b:35ib9q5r][i:35ib9q5r] Buzzer Beat[/i:35ib9q5r][/b:35ib9q5r] was disappointing (at the end, basketball is just incidental, and poor coach) and [b:35ib9q5r][i:35ib9q5r]Samurai High School[/i:35ib9q5r][/b:35ib9q5r] deserved a couple of chapters to make a proper conclusion.

Besides Gokusen… what dorama would you suggest me?

@atreyu: LIFE, if you haven’t watched it. It’s really good, probably the best jdrama.

I began a drama fan 5yrs and half ago, and can’t stop watching, even now I’m still a drama addict =D

I watched ~100 dramas (and finished only 45 –") my favorite is My Boss My Hero, but I also love Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Hanakimi (2007 version), LIFE, Sekai no Chushin de, Ai wo Sakebu and Ashita ga Aru sa, of course :D

Now I’m watching again Atashinchi no Danshi, Nankyoku Tairiku (w/ Kimura Takuya :inlove: ) Marumo no Okite :D

And I have a question, does anyone know where to find RIKON BENGOSHI[/url:1izt3u36] ? I really want to watch it (Tetsuji Tamayama :inlove: ) but only find the RAW -_- thank you~

@angelpick [b:21zg7mhs][i:21zg7mhs]Atashinchi no danshi[/i:21zg7mhs][/b:21zg7mhs] is a bit absurd but fun. There’s even a funny HardGay cameo in one episode xD. How many versions of [b:21zg7mhs][i:21zg7mhs]HanaKimi [/i:21zg7mhs][/b:21zg7mhs]are there? I have read the book and then seen [b:21zg7mhs][i:21zg7mhs]Sekachu[/i:21zg7mhs][/b:21zg7mhs]. Both are really well done. I just need to see the special episode of the story as seen through the eyes of the teacher.
@Kanzaki If you say so, then I’ll give it a try :) .

Oh, I also tried to see [b:21zg7mhs][i:21zg7mhs]Chakushin ari[/i:21zg7mhs][/b:21zg7mhs] (One missed call) but due to the comical scenes I dropped it. Does anyone know about a really scary j-horror dorama? (I know the "Dark Tales of Tokyo" and such, but I mean an ordinary dorama).

Haha Hard Gay cameo was so fun XD FOOOOOOOOOOO !

About Hanakimi, there’s :

  • a taiwanese series (broadcoast in 2006) I never saw this one, only some short parts on YT, and the only thing I can say, Ella (the girl who plays Mizuki) really looks like a boy O___O
    The opening :
    [video:13g5zi65]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDxZyDzu2dQ[/video:13g5zi65]

  • a japanese series the most famous one (the 2007 version), with an hilarious cast and dialogues "HOMO JANAAAAAAAAI" XDDDDD

  • a japanese remake, broadcoast this year, useless.

I have never seen horror drama, don’t like it ><.
