Ok guys, being really picky about the export here, I’m figuring this will be used for permanent archival or even use at parties (I know I will).
There are a lot of artifacts while scrubbing through the video, I may put in some extra keyframes and re-visit the bandwidth. What is the bandwidth on the 1080i source? I’m not at home and cannot check.

Nice, the OP has it posted. I encoded at 10 Mbps, the original is at 12.4 Mbps. I don’t want to lose any quality, so I may re-encode. I’m also going to put in keyframes manually every 90 frames to make scrubbing much less painful.

Correction, it’s maxed out at 20 Mbps. I’ve lost a lot of quality, definitely need to re-encode.
And to think that the most "technical" thing I do when re-encoding is adding default options like --tune film or --preset veryslow…
Thank you Bigun, I’ll likely be going with your version for archiving like last year so your efforts to get the quality high are enormously appreciated. I’ll have my fingers crossed for you that the next encode has the golden settings that seem so hard to pinpoint when video encoding
@Knudow: Same here, I’m not good with figuring out all the little options for video codecs and such, I am just happy when it doesn’t end up 10x bigger than the original file (which sometimes happens ).

Nearly finished, the export finished yesterday. Ran a copy through with no filters, running a second copy though with a decombing filter, whichever looks best is what I will run with, either way, looks like it will be about ~27 GB. Any suggestions for a site to upload to? Or should I just torrent it?
I’m not sure what the file size limit is for MEGA but you could put it up there, like shikigami did in the first post (they seem to of been able to host even a 8gb file there, so even if you have to split it, shouldn’t take too many parts).

File limit: As big as your browser can handle
I’d recommend using winrar or 7zip to break the file into multiple parts (without compressing) so it’s easier to upload and download. Like 27 1Gb files for example.
Uploading now, my only complaint is that Mega is kinda slow. I have a 100 Mbps ISP dangit…

Great quality, and the colors are more vivid than the other releases. Although I don’t know if yours is too dark or maybe it’s the other videos that are too bright.

That may be your computer’s default player. If you play my video in VLC versus Windows Media Player, there is a very huge difference in brightness.

Anyone knows how can I merge the soft subs to the RAW video? Or converting them to Hard Subs?
I read of Facebook that the subs are done and that they would release a hardsub version of it. Where are the links?

Completion was announced ahead of time, release links should be out soon though. The 1080p hardsub will probably be the last release because Sacro has to re-time the final subs to Bigun’s 1080p de-interlaced raw before hours of encoding.
