I had the same problem when I was trying to watch this subs on file with size 1440 x 1080 pixels. The subs are normal. Probably your video file is not suitable. You should use file with following size: 1280 x 720 (16:9) For example, you can find the torrent file here http://www.teamgaki.com/part-1-it-has-begun/ It helped me.
