I have tried Googling "record / capture fengyunzhibo" a few times. Some talk of viewing the website in mobile phone/tablet mode and getting the stream link in the source of the page.

However from what people have said the stream link found this way ending with "m3u8" is of lower quality to the standard stream seen on the webpage (I guess it is a lower bandwidth version for phones). :(

It’d be great if we could download the raw stream. For now it seems just capturing what is shown on your computer screen might be the only option. VLC also has an option to record whats on your computer screen (like Bandicam etc. does). To get VLC to record the screen:

[:1jedk3zb]Change "Play" to "Convert"[/:m:1jedk3zb]
[:1jedk3zb]I think the default settings (an MP4 file with H.264 + MP3 codecs) should be OK, there’s also a "Dump raw input" option which I’ve never tried.[/:m:1jedk3zb]
[:1jedk3zb]Set Destination directory.[/:m:1jedk3zb]
[:1jedk3zb]Hit Start.[/:m:1jedk3zb][/list:u:1jedk3zb]

This will capture your whole desktop though. Software dedicated to screen capture like Bandicam, OBS etc. I think let you more easily select a screen region or window to capture. But here is how to do that in VLC:

[:1jedk3zb]At the far bottom left, pick "All" for "Show Settings"[/:m:1jedk3zb]
[:1jedk3zb]Go to Input / Codecs > Access modules in the long left menu[/:m:1jedk3zb]
[:1jedk3zb]Click on the little arrow next to Access Modules for a list of modules, select Screen.[/:m:1jedk3zb]
[:1jedk3zb]Change the "Subscreen left corner" and "Subscreen right corner" to pick the top-left corner of the section of the screen you want to capture.
Which is wherever the top left corner of the fengyunzhibo video is. There are some browser plugins for finding that out e.g.

[:1jedk3zb]Change "Subscreen width" and "Subscreen height" to set the desired size of the box from that corner (the width / height of the fengyunzhibo video).[/:m:1jedk3zb][/list:u:1jedk3zb]

It’ll remember those same screen region settings everytime you open VLC until you change them in the Preferences.

I woudn’t recommend to record videos from MBS, because the only available stream there exist is the one from Feguny… I don’t know how to type that name :rofl:
So anyway, their stream has lots of ads let alone their watermark and a treasure chest. You may still want to record GobuGobu from their stream.

The watermark isn’t too bad, almost all Gaki episode videos have a faint watermark top-right. You can close the ads with the [ X ] buttons (does the mobile phone one come back after closing?). For the treasure chest, click it once then click the X on the popup message that appears.

Although the treasure chest thing etc. I think only appears if you go in Full Screen mode. As far as I can tell Full Screen just stretches the video up and makes it a bit more blurry/pixellated. The resolution on Fengyunzhibo when not Full Screen seems to be roughly 770 x 430 (widescreen) whilst NIJI’s stream is 720 x 576 (not widescreen), so not too bad so long as the ads stay away when closed.

I’ll try and give the VLC screen capturing thing a go.

Ah, I’d forgotten about that, thanks! I remember trying something like that link before but at the time the stream was having issues. That link seems to take me to a blank page though right now. What browser are you using? I’m using Firefox 27.0.1. I also tried the latest Google Chrome but no luck…

Ah I see. Yeah it seems in the direct swf link there is a date and a number that changes. When I was Googling around for a link that would work I found various ones with different dates/numbers e.g.

Worth a shot, I downloaded it some months ago even though the torrent was already a couple of years old by then. Not the whole torrent, just the episodes I needed.
If there are no seeders at all though then let me know and I’ll see about uploading it someplace.

Thank you for asking :) Yeah I did. Though for some reason halfway through B-Tops the NIJI screen went black, reloading the software worked fine and it was thankfully not during the in-studio bits Housei hosts so meh :rofl: It was just yet another on-location thing with those women getting bags (seriously, how many different bags do they need? :lol: ). I hope there’ll be some on-location thing with Housei in the future, I saw a B-Tops commercial of past stuff with him walking around shops so I guess it does happen occasionally.

It’s a ZIP file. Anything that can extract zip files can extract it, including WinRAR, it’s just split to fit onto Zippyshare.
I use 7zip to extract ZIP and RAR files personally. http://www.7-zip.org/
